I confess that I haven’t always had a very friendly relationship with the camera. I am only human and at times I didn’t like what I saw on the screen. For me, the first step to becoming more at ease in front of the camera was to become more familiar with the camera itself. This can be with an ordinary stills camera that also shoots video. I practiced taking pictures, familiarizing myself with the various settings and features and then I would set up the camera and practice taking video and pictures of myself. Slowly I became less aware of the camera and more relaxed, something that is vital if you are hoping to have a career as an actress.
When I was first approached to model for a photographer, it would have been easy to compare myself to some of the glamorous images in the magazines and talk myself out of it, but I realised that they wouldn’t be asking to take photos of me if they didn’t like what they saw. The more shoots I worked on, the more modeling experience I gained, the more confident I became. I began to embrace my body and to learn how to use it as a tool of the trade. How to pose, how to move, what facial expressions to use and how to work with lighting and angles to flatter my shape. I also learned to be more confident when it came to doing swimsuit and underwear shoots and really loved doing a bodyscaping shoot!
The truth is that becoming a model or actress is no longer as restricted by your body shape and size as it once was. More opportunities exist today, especially as both industries strive towards inclusivity. There are amazing models who have missing limbs, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome and paralysis amongst others and more and more the acting world is looking for people to fill a role in an authentic way where possible. The show 9-1-1 employs a young actor with cerebral palsy and he is killing it in the role. Deaf and blind actors and actresses have been carving out a road in Hollywood for years and now casting directors are keen to find talent that is truly representative across the board. More and more roles are going to differently abled actors and actresses, to talent that doesn’t fit the generic mold and to people of different ethnicities and orientations.
There has never been a better time to take the leap, and I for one am excited about the amazing changes I see in both industries every day.

GOD is sending out His end time warning:

In the Islamic religion they have man called the Mahdi who is known as their messiah of whom they are waiting to take the stage. There are many testimonies from people online who believe this man will be Barack Obama who is to be the biblical Antichrist based off dreams they have received. I myself have had strange dreams about him like no other person. So much so that I decided to share this information.
He came on stage claiming to be a Christian with no affiliation to the Muslim faith…
“In our lives, Michelle and I have been strengthened by our Christian faith. But there have been times where my faith has been questioned — by people who don’t know me — or they’ve said that I adhere to a different religion, as if that were somehow a bad thing,” – Barack Obama
…but was later revealed by his own family members that he indeed is a devout Muslim.
